“Ode to the Cookie Walk”

‘Twas the morn of the cookie walk and all through the church
Excitement was building – they’d laid out the “merch!”

Over 4000 cookies were laid out with care,
And extras were waiting with no room to spare!

Deanna was expertly coaching her crew;
They sat at the ready – they knew what to do!

When what to our wondering eyes should appear?
But Santa to visit and bring Christmas cheer!

The shoppers they came – choosing cookies with care,
Finding their favourites amid choices most fair.

When the boxes were full but the lids could still close
The shoppers left happy with cookies they chose.

But wait…
there are more cookies still left to sell!
At tomorrow’s church service – we can sell them as well!

So, pack up your money, that’s what you should do
And come to church early so you get some too!
