It’s a great time to join the Worship Choir!

We are preparing music for the Sundays of Lent to support our Lenten theme of “Hungering and Thirsting.”

The Worship Choir will also be singing on Good Friday and Easter Sunday.

Practices are Thursday evenings from 7:30-9:30 p.m. starting February 18

We hope you can join us!

*A few more “notes” about joining a church choir:

You only have to set foot inside the doors of this, or any, church to appreciate the magic and beauty of choral singing. The human voice is a musical instrument to be treasured.  To a new singer though, the thought of choral singing may seem like a daunting task, particularly for someone unable to read music. With that in mind, here’s a small guide outlining the basics of getting started. After all, now is as good a time as any to jump in…

A New Challenge: Learning to sing is a challenge in itself, but learning to sing with others is a skill that makes the experience all the more rewarding.  While the ability to read music is helpful, it is not required – we will teach you everything you need to know to get started.

Social Benefits: As with any club or social group, membership will not only enhance your circle of friends but also your social life.  Many of our choir members develop life-long friendships.  Plus, you get a great view of the congregation and a reserved seat!

Education: There is a wealth of sacred choral music to discover and being part of a choir is one way of finding some of the hidden gems of sacred choral repertoire.

Health Benefits: Singing is an ideal way to relax and relieve stress as it provides an outlet from the pressures of daily life.

A Lifelong Passion: Choral singing can become a hobby for life. There are no age or gender restrictions, it requires only time to join.
