With the community of Dauphin, we grieve the loss and trauma of the June 15 bus crash that took the lives of at least 15 people and left many injured, and so many grieving. Our hearts break, and God’s heart breaks.

Please pray for the loved ones of the victims, survivors, first responders and medical staff, the communities of Dauphin and Carberry and area, and all affected by this horrible accident near Carberry. Trinity Lutheran Church in Dauphin is hosting the family support centre, and we pray for them in this difficult and vital ministry, and pray for all offering support. We pray for the members of Dauphin First United Church as they minister to their community.

Dauphin Mayor Dave Bosiak has thanked the country for the outpouring of messages of support, saying, “Just knowing that others are feeling for us here is really important.” Updates are being posted to the community Facebook page and messages of support can be left there.

May God bless those whose lives have been lost, and may God’s love hold close all who are grieving. May we all be living expressions of God’s love in this time of grief.
