OUR MISSION

Windsor Park United Church seeks to be a welcoming community. Based on the life and teachings of Jesus Christ, we nurture our faith and spiritual life by: worshipping and learning together, caring for each other, embracing our diversity, reaching out to those who live around us and working together in service to Creation.

Our next Zoom Coffee Hour is Thursday, November 12, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. for an informal online gathering for coffee (sorry you will have to make your own coffee or beverage of choice at home) and conversation. This is a time to see faces, to check-in, to just spend some time together in community. If you are interested in this coffee time please email Sue at office@windsorparkunitedchurch.comand she will forward you the link to join. We hope to see some of you on Thursday.

After Worship Fellowship

You are invited to join us for After Worship Fellowship on Sunday, November 15, 2020 at 11:30 a.m. This will be via Zoom and you must provide your own coffee at home (other beverages are also acceptable). This is a time for our faith community to be together. If you are interested in joining us please email the office at office@windsorparkunitedchurch.com and the link will be forwarded to you. During the Advent season we will be hosting these fellowship events on a weekly basis beginning Sunday, November 29, 2020 at 11:30 a.m.

Advent Will Soon Be Upon Us

Advent is right around the corner and due to the current pandemic situation we have to make some changes to our Advent celebrations. Please watch your weekly eblasts for upcoming “virtual” events.

Christmas Hampers

Your Outreach Council is planning to prepare and deliver Christmas Hampers again this year. We are accepting monetary contributions toward the purchase of items for the Hampers. Donations can be dropped off at the church, sent in through snail mail, sent by etransfer, or through CanadaHelps. Please indicate that it is for the Christmas Hampers.

We generally contact the Christmas Cheer Board in early November to obtain the names and contact information of individuals, couples, or families who have applied for a hamper. If you personally know of someone in need whom you feel might benefit from our support, please discuss this with Patrick (minister@windsorparkunitedchurch.com) or Gwen Polak (gpolak@mymts.net) by the beginning of November.

Mitten Tree

The Mitten Tree will be a virtual one that you can “watch grow” each week during the on-line service. We will be collecting mittens, toques, and scarves for those we have supported in the past. Times for dropping off donations are listed later in the announcements.

2021 Offering Envelopes

Your 2021 offering envelopes have arrived and will be available for pick up. Times for pick are listed later in the announcements.

From the Minister

If you feel the need to talk, to bent, to laugh, to hear another’s voice, please know that the phone and the email at the church is constantly being checked so if you need to speak to me, please call. If we do not answer, leave your name and number and I will call you back. We are in this together and we will get through this together, because that is what we do here at Windsor Park United Church.

If You Are Inside The Church Building

If for any reason you enter the church building you will find a log book and hand sanitizer. We are asking that you sign the log book, record what areas of the building you are in and please use the hand sanitizer. It is mandatory that you also wear a mask. This is to aid in keeping the building clean, sanitized, and safe.
