OUR MISSION

Windsor Park United Church seeks to be a welcoming community.
Based on the life and teachings of Jesus Christ, we nurture our faith and spiritual life by: worshipping and learning together, caring for each other, embracing our diversity, reaching out to those who live around us and working together in service to Creation.

SLEEP IN HEAVENLY PEACE

Our virtual blanket-making bee is coming to an end for this winter. If you have joined us by making a twin-sized blanket, quilt, or afghan to donate to Sleep in Heavenly Peace, you can drop it off at WPUC on Monday morning (March 1, 2021 – Please phone first to advise someone that you will be coming by.) If you’d feel more comfortable with a safe, pick-up at your home, one can be arranged by contacting Deanna Kernaghan (lenanddee@shaw.ca) or Gwen Polak (gpolak@mymts.net). New or gently-used twin-sized bedding will also be accepted. All donated items will be transported in early March to the Winnipeg non-profit agency, Sleep in Heavenly Peace, to share with the children for whom they provide free bed frames and mattresses. Thank-you to all who have participated in this project!

Thursday Morning Coffee and Conversation

The next Thursday Morning Coffee and Conversation is this Thursday, March 4 at 10:30 a.m. It is a great time to check in and have a short visit. There is a new link for the month of March, please send an email to office@windsorparkunitedchurch.com to receive it.

Calling All Knitters

Splash Daycare is in need of about a dozen arm warmers for children, a dozen leg warmers for children, and about 10 to 12 adult size leg warmers.  If you require patterns, please contact the office at office@windsorparkunitedchurch.com . When finished, these can be dropped off at the church (call first to make sure that someone is there to receive them) or contact the office and pickup can be arranged.

Message from Patrick

If you feel the need to talk, to vent, to laugh, to hear another’s voice, please know that the phone and the email at the church is constantly being checked so if you need to speak to me, please call. If you get the answering machine, leave your name and number and I will call you back. We are in this together and we will get through this together, because that is what we do here at Windsor Park United Church.

If You Are Inside The Church Building

If for any reason you enter the church building you will find a log book and hand sanitizer. Please use the hand sanitizer, sign the log book, and record what areas of the building you are in (no matter how short your stay!). It is mandatory that you also wear a mask. This is to aid in keeping the building clean, sanitized, and safe.
